Following a bilingual Mass at 11:00 A.M., our annual Three Kings Party includes special gifts in partnership with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The day wraps up with the Willie Martinez Latin Jazz Trio at Jazz Vespers.

Bishop Leila M. Ortiz leads an exploration of Luther’s radical baptismal theology through the metaphor of an estuary—where different streams meet, death feeds life, and abundant resurrection emerges. A light meal is served.

This year, our observance also remembers the late Rev. Dr. William G. Rusch, ecumenist and beloved Saint Peter’s member. On January 25 we pray special propers at all liturgies and on March 1 we welcome Father Simeon Odabashian, Diocesan Vicar of the Diocese of the Armenian Church (Eastern), to preach at 11:00 A.M. Mass.

Our Community Hour at 12:00 Noon features tamales, a tradition in Latin America where those who find the baby Jesus in the Rosca de Reyes on Epiphany host a meal rooted in communal responsibility and celebration. The sharing of tamales marks gratitude, hospitality and the presentation of the Christ Child, blending Indigenous footways with this observance.

Schubert composed this missa brevis in a span of just six days in March of 1815, a prolific compositional year for him with dozens of works completed; he was eighteen years of age. Saint Peter’s Choir presents this staple of Schubert’s oeuvre in memory of Philip Lange at 11:00 A.M. Mass.
