Marking sixty years of Jazz Vespers at Saint Peter’s, Catherine Russell led a joyous celebration on May 17, 2026. Joined by Miki Yamanaka, Tal Ronen and Maria Marmarou, Russell continued the weekly tradition of Jazz Vespers, bringing this unique and free prayer service to the community.

On Tuesday, December 18, thanks to the sponsorship of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, turkeys—a centerpiece of many Christmas tables—were added to the distribution. Their donation was amplified by a partnership with FreshDirect, which helped turn an initial request of 200 turkeys to a truckload of over 400. Some estimated 3,000 people, many of them children, benefitted from the partnership.

The Saint Peter’s organ stands as a shining example of how a deeply considered, disciplined, and sympathetic approach to restoration can yield a musical instrument of the highest artistic integrity.
