32 Days: The Klais Organ is at the C.B. Fisk Workshop

As we take substantial steps forward with mitigation -- from drywall and flooring onward to organs and mechanical systems -- we continue to learn more and more about the extent of damage. I am thankful for the widening team of professionals that are lending their expertise to us. I hope this level of care will, as it has for me, continue to give hope in this time.

Grace and peace to you,

Jared R. Stahler
Senior Pastor

  • On Monday, there will be a walk through of the affected floors of the building with a team of three specialists: an architect, an environmental hygienist, and a mechanical/electrical/plumbing consultant.

  • A firm that specializes in church woodwork is evaluating the seating risers in the sanctuary. We are also in touch with textile experts to evaluate the condition of the pew cushions and other textiles in the space.

  • Polygon was on site again this week picking up the final round of paper goods to be preserved.

  • The organ arrived at C.B Fisk organ company in Gloucester, MA, and will be reassembled in their workshop. Cantor Bálint Karosi will visit the workshop in the next few weeks.

  • The small, Italian organ is still on site at Saint Peter’s and will be picked up next week by Organ Clearing House and moved to C.B Fisk organ company.
